On November 29, President of Ukraine\u00a0<\/span>Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented Ukraine and candidate city Odesa for hosting Expo in 2030 at the 171st General Assembly of the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE) in Paris. And this, by the way, is the fundamental meaning of the World Expositions. Therefore, the reality of our country and the spirit of the World Expositions will coincide as much as possible. It is in Ukraine, in 2030,\u201d<\/em>said\u00a0<\/span>Volodymyr Zelenskyy\u00a0<\/span>during the presentation of the Ukrainian application to the BIE.<\/p>\n According to the President, the restoration of Ukraine will become the most important economic, technological and humanitarian project of our time. The state is already engaging dozens of partner countries in the restoration of Ukraine. The total amount of work is more than a trillion dollars.<\/p>\n Currently, the Ukrainian government is creating a special system that will allow advanced countries and companies from around the world to take patronage over the reconstruction of Ukrainian regions, cities, industries and enterprises. Together, we will celebrate the Expo as a symbol of joint efforts aimed at ensuring freedom and the priority of human life and well-being\"<\/em>said Roman Gryhoryshyn, Deputy Head of the Odesa Military Regional State Administration, during his speech.<\/p>\n The Ukrainian delegation, which presented the country and Odesa, also included Manuela Gatto, Director of Zaha Hadid Architects, Jaanika Merilo, Advisor to the Vice Prime Minister \u2013 Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorova and Evgenii Levenberg, Head of the NGO \u201cPublic Council Expo-2030\u201d.<\/p>\n The development of the architectural part of the Ukrainian dossier was carried out by the world-famous team Zaha Hadid Architect. Its director Manuela Gatto presented the concept of development of irrigation fields \u2013 a site intended for construction for the World Expo in Odesa.<\/p>\n In line with the \u201c2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development\u201d adopted by the United Nations, Odesa Expo 2030 will embrace economic and social sustainability, implement strategies aimed at increasing energy efficiency, while improving education and stimulating economic growth of the city and the region. After the Expo, our large central pavilions will be connected into an exhibition area of 80,000 m\u00b2, which will later be moved to another city. Then everything around the exhibition center will be restored and integrated into the Coastal Ecopark, becoming a large hospitable park for Odesa residents and guests of the city,\u201d<\/em>said\u00a0<\/span>Manuela Gatto.<\/p>\n Zaha Hadid Architec propose a system for the construction of pavilions of other participating states, which will allow individual exhibitors to transport their modules to their countries. The pavilion components that participating countries decide to donate will be offered as schools, kindergartens, surgery rooms or subsidized workspaces for Ukraine\u2019s digital and creative industries.<\/p>\n All of these pavilion modules will initially be designed specifically to be placed in shipping barges that carry cargo on the Black and Azov Seas and the Dnipro River.
